It started to become a tradition that the canoe sprint race season starts with the Race for the cookies! There was again great weather and great participation. Athletes from the sprint canoe teams in Gig Harbor, Seattle, Bellingham and of course Cascades raced the 2km of the course up and down the Sammamish River in Bothell to win the great prize, a cookie.
