Continuing her climb through national and into international competition, Cascade Canoe & Kayak Racing Team’s 16 year old canoeist Andreea Ghizila emerged as one of the dominant woman canoeist in the United States this weekend. Competing in 6 events over the weekend, she placed in the top three in all her races and placed first in 2 events – C-1 (canoe one person) Women Senior 500m and C-1 Women 200m. She has again been selected to the US Team and will go on to represent the United States at the Junior World Championships in Romania in July.
